Deutsche Jazz-Zeitschriften/German Jazz Periodicals

For Germany we have listed all jazz and blues related periodicals. "Jazz Podium", "Jazzthetik", "Jazzzeitung" and "Jazz Thing" are doubtlessly the most important magazines with "Jazz Podium" being the oldest one reaching back into the early 1950s. When calling or sending a fax to any of these magazines from Germany, please remember to dial a "0" before the respective area code. All of the periodicals below are in the archive of the Jazz-Institut Darmstadt. If you want your magazine to be on this list, please send us a copy so that we can review it for inclusion.

Für Deutschland haben wir alle großen Jazz-Zeitschriften aufgelistet. "Jazz Podium", "Jazzthetik","Jazz Thing" und "Jazzzeitung" sind die wichtigsten dieser Magazine, wobei das "Jazz Podium" mittlerweile auf eine dreiundfünfzigjährige Geschichte zurückblicken kann. In this section we have listed the most important English language jazz and blues periodicals. You will find general jazz magazines as well as specialized journals dedicated to traditional or avantgarde jazz and blues. Sometime in the near future we will add to this so-called "fanzines" dedicated to specific musicians.

In diesem Abschnitt haben wir die wichtigsten englischsprachigen Jazz- und Blues-Magazine aufgelistet. Es finden sich generelle Jazz-Zeitschriften sowie solche, die sich beispielsweise auf traditionelle Spielweisen des Jazz oder Avantgardemusik spezialisieren. Für die Zukunft planen wir außerdem eine Rubrik mit sogenannten "Fanzines", die sich einem einzelnen Musiker widmen.
